The Taight Display

A wall display that turns a passing glance into a conversation, then hands it to your phone. Presence-aware, live availability, an on-screen assistant, and a wall you can play with.

The concept

From a glance to a conversation

The display sits in a shared space and waits. When someone walks past it notices them and comes to life, greeting them with a line rather than an advert. That is the idea: turn a passing glance into a short, playful conversation, then hand the visitor a way to carry it on from their own phone. One screen on the wall, one in their pocket, working together.

What is on the screen

Anatomy of the display

The screen is a tall portrait panel split into a few clear zones, each doing one job. The banner carries our wordmark and live availability, the aware row holds TAI and the code to scan, and the rest is the rotating content.

Scan to read

See something good? Take it with you

The rotating content is real: insights, showcases, the odd update. Each piece carries its own code, so when something on the screen catches your eye you can scan it and keep reading on your phone. No typing a URL, no trying to remember it later.

Scan to play

Scan, choose, play on the wall

Point your phone at the code on the display and the companion opens in your browser, with no app to install. Pick a game, then control it from your phone while it takes over the big screen. It is a small thing, but people remember a display they got to play with.

Availability

Are we in? The screen already knows

The status badge reads our live availability from Teams and the calendar, and whether we are in the office or working remotely, so a visitor knows whether to knock now, message instead, or come back later. It updates on its own, with no stale sticky note on the door.

  • Available · Remoteworking from home
  • In a meeting · In officeback shortly
  • Awaynot at the desk

Assistant

Ask TAI, watch the wall answer

TAI is the assistant behind the display. Ask it something from the companion on your phone and the reply appears on the big screen, so a small group can follow the conversation together. It speaks in our voice, dry and to the point.

Games

A wall you can play with

The games are ours, built on the same stack we build client work on: a few classics tuned for a tall screen, plus one of our own. It is a working demo of what we ship, dressed up as something playful. People remember a display they got to play with.

For the venue

Ambient, not intrusive

The display earns attention instead of demanding it. It stays quiet until someone is near, offers a game or a question rather than a pitch, and gives people a reason to remember the space and the company behind it. If you would like one of these, or something built for your own space, get in touch.
